EU Based Members

The twenty member benefits and types of support provided by the EUMC, from which members are entitled to receive tailored support and benefits – as mutually agreed between that member and the EUMC from time to time – and pertaining to one member project at any one time during fully paid periods of membership – comprise:

  1. Encouraging and hosting a ‘kick off meeting’ in the EU Myanmar Center in Yangon. Providing logistics assistance for visiting members to attend same; including the identification of competitively priced accommodation and travel inside Myanmar.
  2. The provision of visa invitation/recommendation letters by a local registered company, as are commonly required for each foreign person travelling to Myanmar on business.
  3. Evaluating and guiding that a member’s products, services, pricing, business model, revenue model, financial models and specific market research/analysis are valid and appropriate in a Myanmar market context.
  4. The development of a ‘sector targeted presentation’ of member’s company profile, products, services, offerings and requirements.
  5.  Identifying a candidate capable and willing buyer or buyers of the member’s products and or services.
  6. Guidance and advice for identifying, and practically navigating, cultural and commercial bridges between the member and the targeted Myanmar customer(s), in order to maximise the probability of member winning new business.
  7. Facilitating 1-1 meetings with a candidate capable and willing buyer or buyers of the member’s products and or services.
  8. Facilitating meetings with Myanmar Government/Ministries/Departments, where the EUMC considers it appropriate to do so.
  9. Facilitating meetings with EU/European Government/Ministries/Departments, where the EUMC considers it appropriate to do so.
  10. Supporting necessary licence and permit applications.
  11. ‘Hot-desking’ temporary office space in Myanmar, on a first-come-first served basis, to facilitate preliminary advancement of business opportunities.
  12. Facilitating 1-1 meetings with funders (commercial/grant).
  13. Facilitating 1-1 meetings with professional services companies.
  14. Access to the EUMC’s information databases. Including notices of relevant activities, EU-Myanmar news & trade enquiries from Myanmar, taxation news and other relevant information.
  15. Access to standards and conformity requirements, whenever exporting between Myanmar and various EU Member Countries.
  16. Market intelligence information, including market surveys on various sectors, products, services, export manuals and useful links.
  17. Dedicated events/workshops/briefing-sessions (e.g. ‘new company start-up’, ‘IPR issues’ etc.).
  18. Training Sessions (free or paid, depending on the particular session).
  19. A copy of the EU Myanmar Centre quarterly e-Newsletter, covering business update information for upcoming conferences, seminars, workshops, exhibitions and other relevant events; in Myanmar and in various EU Member Countries.
  20. Translation facilitation (paid service, with pricing depending on the word count).
